My Gram's Sloppy Joes

This is my Mom's favorite recipe from my Gram. She made one small change that she thinks makes them even better.

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef or ground chuck
1 bottle chili sauce
4 pieces of bacon
1 small onion diced
1 T. Worcestershire sauce.

Brown the bacon in the bottom of the pan (like a dutch oven) - the bacon really adds flavor. Once browned, take the bacon out and cut it into small pieces, then add back into the pot. Add the chopped onion to the bacon and drippings and cook until clear. Add beef and brown. Pour chili sauce and Worcestershire into the pot and keep on medium heat until bubbling and well-blended. Serve on buns and enjoy. This recipe can be made ahead of time and frozen. My Mom often doubles it and freezes half for a later date.
