Crock-Pot Stay-in-Bed Stew

Author: Amateur Cook // Category: , ,
This is a great recipe that you put into your crock-pot and leave to cook and stew into a delicious, saucy dish. It's my Mom's recipe, and we made it recently when I was home. We also made a video-tape so you can watch step-by-step directions for Stay-in-Bed Stew.

Ingredients:
2 lbs. beef stew meat
1 can tiny peas
1 c. sliced carrots
2 large onions, chopped
dash pepper
1 can tomato soup (or cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, etc.)
1/2 soup can of water
1 potato, sliced thinly
bay leaf

Put all ingredients into a crock-pot and cook covered on low for 8 hrs. or on high for 4 hrs. If you don't have a crock-pot, you can put all of these ingredients into a large casserole with a lid and cook for 5 hrs. at 275 degrees. My Dad thinks it's better in the crock-pot because it's saucier.
