Troubleshooting: How to Thicken a Frozen Cocktail

I know this is somewhat of a stretch for my troubleshooting category, but I wanted to include this fabulous trick that my father-in-law taught me. Use ice cream to thicken a frozen cocktail.

Above is a pina colada. I followed the recipe by using the pina colada mix, rum and ice. Add 1 c. of vanilla ice cream, and it's even better!

For a frozen margarita, add a scoop of sherbet. Try raspberry, and have a raspberry margarita. For a strawberry daiquiri, add a scoop of strawberry ice cream. You get the idea.
